A sacred pause to turn toward God
Hi Soul 🌻
It’s Martine from Bloom Beyond,
You are receiving The Sunflower Selah, a sacred pause to turn toward God.
Inspired by the Seed of Scripture…
“The Lord bless you,
and keep you,
the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace”
— Numbers 6:24-26
Why “The Sunflower Selah”?
Sunflower — Sunflowers are known for turning their faces toward the sun, which symbolizes the faithfulness we show by turning toward God for guidance.
Selah — Selah is a term found in the Hebrew Bible, particularly in the Book of Psalms, and it indicates a moment to pause and reflect; to “lift up” everything and everyone to God.
“Sunflower Selah” intertwines these two symbols into a harmonious unity, calling you to pause and reflect, akin to the sunflower’s inclination to turn toward the sun. May it encourage you to embrace moments of introspection and spiritual contemplation, even amidst life’s busyness and challenges. God’s desire is that “Sunflower Selah” would symbolize a journey of growth, resilience, and unwavering faith, where each pause serves as a reminder to bask in the light of divine guidance and to stand steadfast in our devotion. I pray this letter would encapsulate the beauty of finding brightness, bravery, and balance in the midst of life's ever-changing seasons.
I personally turn toward the sun and abide in many moments of pause and reflection. It is a way of life. Living like that of a sunflower and remaining in a constant streams of selah, I have come to the One God from this letter flows. Over several break openings and a prolonged season of stillness during an accident recovery, I accepted His everlasting peace. Psalm 46:10 confirms this as it writes, “Be still and know that I am God.” My heart yearns for others to know it, and therefore I pray that blessings, grace, and peace would shine through every contribution I make, including this and future letters.
I pray The Sunflower Selah would speak to you in any season…
"There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace."
— Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
